Stable and Development Images
Yocto Project Images for Gumstix Overo and DuoVero Computers-on-Module and the Pepper Single-Board Computer
All Yocto Project based images can be found here. You will need to download the following:
- A bootloader
- A kernel image
- A root file system
- Modules
Tested, Stable Images
Images that have been tested and are deemed as stable are found in the master directory.

Nightly Built Development Images
For the Overo, DuoVero and Pepper COMs, Gumstix build a custom Linux distribution based on Yocto Project on nightly basis. These images are the most up-to-date and development builds from the Gumstix Yocto Project build tree. Look for images in 'dev' directory for these bleeding-edge builds.
Linaro Images with Robot Operating System for Gumstix Overo COMs
The Linaro based image with Robot Operating System (ROS) can be found in Robot Operating System.
Angstrom Images for Overo Computers-on-Module
In addition to the Yocto Project and Linaro images, you may find the original Angstrom based Gumstix images useful. These images offer a number of specific features, but are no longer in active development and are based on Linux kernel 2.6.
Images for Verdex Pro COMs
Images for Verdex Pro (and the older Verdex, Connex, and Basix) COMs are available here. You will find three subdirectories at this location: u-boot, archive, current. The u-boot subdirectory contains the bootloader binaries for each of these product lines. The filenames are of the form: u-boot-{family}-{clock speed}-{revision}.bin.
Verdex Pro COMs will boot directly from a properly prepared microSD card. Follow the instructions posted here to create a bootable microSD card.
Basix users should use a Connex image which matches their motherboard clock rate. Archive stores previous builds where the subdirectory name indicates the source code revision and the target library used for the build. The Current directory contains the most recent build from Archive.
